Terms of Service

These terms cover the pre-release alpha of RetroHub AI, operated by RETRO HUB AI INC., incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation number BC1589989). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose; a lawyer-reviewed version will replace this draft before general availability.

1. This is pre-release software

RetroHub AI is an invite-only alpha. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data loss, downtime, and rough edges are possible. There is no service-level agreement (SLA) and no uptime commitment during the alpha. Please keep copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

2. Accounts

• You need an invite code to register. Accounts are created through Firebase Authentication (Google, GitHub, or email/password).
• Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us about any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into these terms.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use RetroHub AI to:

• generate or distribute content that is illegal, or that harasses, defames, or threatens others;
• infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• generate spam or deceptive content at scale;
• probe, overload, attack, or attempt to circumvent the service or its AI systems, or abuse AI generation (for example, automated bulk extraction of model output);
• break any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. AI-generated content and ownership

• You own your inputs (prompts, briefs, brand material you provide).
• You own the outputs the platform generates for you, to the extent we can grant that ownership.
• You grant us a limited licence to store, cache, and process your inputs and outputs solely to operate and improve the service — that's what lets us save your work, run generation, and show your history back to you.
• AI output may be inaccurate and may not be unique — similar prompts can produce similar results for other users. Review AI-generated content before you rely on it or publish it; you are responsible for what you publish.
• Third-party AI providers used for cloud generation have their own usage policies that can apply to output from their models.

5. Billing — demo mode only

During the alpha, billing runs in demo mode. No real charges are made, no real payment card data is entered or stored, and any "checkout" flows are sandbox demonstrations (NMI sandbox). If and when real billing launches, it will come with updated terms and clear notice — nothing in the alpha creates a payment obligation.

6. Termination

You can stop using the service or ask us to delete your account at any time ([email protected]). We may suspend or terminate access — including for alpha capacity or safety reasons — with or without notice while the service is pre-release. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or fit for any purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RETRO HUB AI INC. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Because the alpha is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to CAD $100 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms during the pre-release period. We'll update the date at the top and notify account holders of material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
